Welcome to NathanHewer4liberty.com the home site for your liberty candidate for the upcoming 2022 Michigan 28th district State Senate race.
Nathan is a born and raised Michigander who believes in individual freedom, responsibilities, and true free markets (no kickbacks or special sin taxes). Nathan believes the government should be out of your wallet, your bedroom, your doctor's office, and your marketplace. And that individuals know what’s best for themselves.
Nathans Top 4 priorities are as follows:
- Reducing overall taxes while maintaining funding for education and infrastructure. Ending corporate welfare/ subsidies diverting this existing tax revenue to the priorities of education and infrastructure. I would then support returning the surplus funds to the people.
- Eliminating unnecessary occupational licensing restrictions. Many current license requirements are not in place to protect the public but to protect politician’s supporters from competition. People with limited means should be allowed to chase their dreams. You should not need a license to shampoo hair or install gutters.
- End the failed prohibition on Marijuana and hemp by decriminalizing its use and commuting prisoner’s sentences for all Marijuana convictions that were not in conjunction with a violent crime. Use the surplus existing funding for education, infrastructure and return the rest to the taxpayers.
